Dance of the night
I saw people fighting over lamps I heard shadows laughing at their face Then the night whispered in my ear saying how lost are they dear? One had a lamp of golden Other had one shining like a diamond Another one got it carved with jewels No one said anything about the fuel The time came and the night danced Swirling around with a light waltz taking out the lights with a flick Leaving them shocked and still The shadows laughed The night danced They stand there Giving awkward glance Another lesson learnt by mankind Nothing is bright until you know how to ignite.
