Introduction :- Have you ever heard the word "Narcissistic" I'm sure most of you have heard this word. It's quite hard not to given the woke society we live in we know our issues.. 

But today I'm gonna discuss what no one tells you about narcissistic personality disorder and it's that it is a very common personality disorder more common in young people and many studies have shown man are more likely to have this disorder than womens 

Now a look in the history of narcissism the word comes from Greek mythology there was a hunter named 'Narcissus' who was said to be devastatingly handsome like the dude was so beautiful he fell in love with his own reflection staring back at him from the waters.

He continues visiting the pond to look at himself he was obsessed and one day he died by drowning in the said pond.. what an insightful story but that's the story the myth of narcissus but our problems regarding the NPD disorder are very much real and eating away at our young generation so let's begin by saying 

        "Beauty can be alluring
      But being lured isn't beautiful"

NPD:- In simple words NPD is a disorder in which a person is deeply convinced with his own self importance.

 You will never need to cheer up these people by saying 'You are a special person don't worry' because they will be telling you and everyone else exactly how special they are.

they have a deep sense of self worth we are yet to explore the root of it but it's there, a prime factor of a Narcissist.

Cause:- scientist says that the cause of NPD is still unknown but it likely involve a number of genetic and environmental factors but the studies have shown greater number of NPD in college students. Any guesses why?.. 

I'll give you a minute think about it.. Ok I'm dropping a hint "Success" what everybody craves "Success!" What college students crave "SUCCESS!!" Yeah here you go your answer. what? You don't understand well here let me explain "It's the hustle culture it's our obsession with success" that is to blame for this increasing numbers of narcissists 

How? Let me prove it to you.. We have taught our kids from the very beginning to be successful.. which doesn't sound like a bad thing but hear this - "If you don't get succesful everyone will hate you", "No one wants to talk to a looser!" "If you don't get succesful everyone will leave you alone", "you will live a life below everyone if you don't get succesful", "people only listen to the opinions of successful people", " you will be walked over!!" Does this rings a bell sounds familiar. 

All these words stir fear in a kid's mind a gnawing fear eating at his insides but he cops with it, he builds a coping mechanism which includes telling his self that he has what it takes, he is the one! Now he does the hustle, put out the work which is again a good thing but the intent behind it isn't.

Because it's no longer about learning, it's no longer about doing the right things, or even getting success, now it's about leaving everyone else behind now he is the chart topper in the limelight and he like it here he is no longer able to see that the limelight is just inside his head it isn't even manifested itself in the outer world now this looks familiar because it takes the route of the familiar disorder NPD 

* Why men :-  and this theory also proves the fact why so many mans are affected by it because man naturally already had the sense of conquering things they love that feeling and the steroid called Narcissism just doubles that feeling. The feeling of achieving something.

* Why the winners:- we are obsessed with winning everyone wants to be a winner.. and that's not the problem but the problem is no one wants to be the looser because if everyone wants to be a winner than this will create a competition in short the reality of our world we have created the perfect enviornment for Narcissist to flourish and now we are asking why so Narcissist?

conclusion:- being a Narcissist is all about feeling like the star of the show even if the show is not yours these people are often seen claiming other's limelight why because they can't help it there's only one motto for them "I'M THE MOST SPECIAL" just this sentence it sounds fun but think for a moment all your life revolving around only one sentence.. it's sad the reality of Narcissism is sad and stressing these people have no idea of their true self and we as a society we are losing potential people, youngsters.. who could have done better, achieved better Narcissism is a severe disorder it needs to be treated not ignored.

Because the balatant ignorance of that little fact, is not healthy.
