Invisible waves
Because what's happening right now in this country is beyond me and I'm freaking out.. From the past two weeks well scratch that from 10th of April which was supposed to be a quite festive day in India. Where every other day there's a new festival, so that's not surprising but the events that happened on this year's "Ramnavmi" were not normal and indeed very much surprising..
And there are many said, seen, unseen factors of these surprising events that happened on the place of what's supposed to be a quite, peaceful, festive parade but I'm not going too much into the details of these violent aspects of this situation because that's not gonna solve anything and I'm sure many of you already know those details since that's what everyone is pretty much talking about from the past two weeks. I'm just concerned that we have reached that point where this can't be going on, this type of behavior can't continue because if it did then India will be facing a new kind of war.. a civil war.. and with everything that is going on in the world right now, we really don't need that..
There's enough blood-shed, separation, deaths, political coup, deadly epidemics going on right now, we really don't need anything to add up on that pile and a genocide at that.. hell NO!!
We don't need that here and I was thinking all this time that everyby knows it. It's common Knowledge we should not add anymore trouble to our already troubled nation. But alas some people are behaving completely opposite, they are encouraging this type of behavior they are picking upon the differences and ripping open new rifts in between those people who were never on the same ground and in a country like ours, this is alarming.. terrifyingly alarming..
Now this atmosphere first started building back in 2014 but it wasn't severe hardly noticeable and covered in too many pom-pom's and sugar coating that it was hard to figure out it was just a prediction, a commentry of short and I didn't beleive it was even there or the events of 2014 can ever lead to something like this, I didn't saw it coming like most of the people.
The thing is I didn't had any major issues with that government still don't, I think they are pretty good and I guess many of the people thought the same explains them still being in power.. the only issue I had was that there were less efforts in the field of unifying India. Now excuse me for saying this but building the statue of unity is not gonna Unite India and I'm not saying that to disrespect the statue of unity or "Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel" not at all infact I'm proud of the achievements of Sardar patel & the statue of unity as a golden memory of our history but the fact remains that Sardar patel has done his job we have our India as a whole nation from Kashmir to Kanyakumari but it's our job now to keep India United that would be the best way to honour Sardar patel..
And right now we are together on the map thanks to Sardar patel but we are drifting far apart in the mind's of the people. Some people have analysed and said that there was a wave in 2014, a revolutionary wave in the minds of the people of India which got the governing party so many votes and now people are saying that the same wave was experienced again in 2022 getting the party another big victory in the most populated state where it all matters the most the epicenter of these religious battles
Now I know there were more than one reason for that invisible wave effect to work causing BJP to win again. I can confirm it from the free food, free houses & free smartphones and tablets for kids that tactic always works (still waiting for that tablet though) but what I didn't realise was that the invisible wave carries more than the influence or likeliness of a political party it also carried a certain fear, a desperation of a kind that I couldn't put my finger on at first but now I can and I'm met with a disaster.. a disaster we don't need.
The thing is I'm not blaming BJP for causing fear in a specific group of people, I'm accusing their inability to relinquish that fear.. because if they have successfully removed that fear from the minds of millions of those specific group of people, we wouldn't be facing the situation we are facing right now in the country specially in our state.
What happened here in between these heavy victory season and then a completely different government policy was that a thought took place in the minds of people that the new government will be governed in a way that will give a certain group of people the opportunity to finally be able to push back and kind of bring justice, to this whole push and pull situation between the both major communities. I'm not sure when exactly this push and pull behaviour started it could be as old as the country itself but one thing that I'm sure of is that the events of 2014 and everything that happened till now has actually made this push and pull situation alot more aggressive than it ever was..
And no matter from which side I see this situation I come up with the same thought that there shouldn't be any push and pull, passive aggressive behaviour between the major communities in this country but hey what's a country without problems? and when the problems are as old as the foundation of the country itself.. it's understandable, that it's gonna take some time to solve these problems and the best way to solve them would be to make constant effort in the field of unity to not mention the differences so much but mention what we have in common.
But to be honest with you the election situation doesn't help at all like for example "the right to vote" is something that we all have in common so election could very well be used to again solidify the unity but in our country elections are used as a means to divide not unite, like whenever the elections come that's the time when you are made most aware of your ethnicity, background, religion, cast, family income and exactly where you stand in the society, you are divided bit by bit until the last traces of your identity and based on that the political leaders will approach you they will see you as a sample piece of your whole clan and if they succesfully sold their ideas to you then they sold that idea to the whole ethical, religious group that you belong to.
Which is really bizzare to think about but that's how the political leaders approach the elections and ofcourse this method is totally outdated and it does more harm than good. But alas they don't have to deal with the consequences because the dealings of the consequences is mainly done by the public it's the public, the common people who get the most affected by these riots and acts of violence because the political leaders become very much unapproachable after the elections as always.. and right now it seems like the same story refolding itself in a totally different way..
And I don't know what to do right now, but hey I'm the citizen and I can some times not know what to do.. but they are the government.. The government should always know what TO DO!! But it seems like the government is also at their wits end right now, which is also very alarming..
But for a moment let's try to ignore all these alarms which I'm sure is hard to do because there are so many alarms in this situation.. but let's just try so we can actually figure something out as to why all this happened so I've a theory so just hear me out ok.. I'm sure you have already heard all the news channels talking about it (sorry I'm late cause I'm lazy) but I can offer a different perspective for sure..
The thing is.. ok deep breaths 'sigh'.. 'sigh'.. the thing is this quote unquote voilance didn't started from 10th of April, it all started just a month ago on tenth of March the day the results of the election came out and it was announced that BJP had won again with a long shot now with their winning came back that wave of quote unquote fear and different people respond to fear in different ways, now this specific group of people also had a different response to that invisible fear. The fact remains that there should be no fear in anyone's mind in a democratic country atleast not on the day of the results of elections.. like aren't the elections said to be the festival of a democratic nation.
Then why some people are mourning on the results of the said elections.. like we are off to a bad start if the first month is going on like this.. how the whole year is gonna be? & Now some people will defend the government and our dear CM like the government is not stirring fear in the hearts of it's citizens and I have to say with all the buldozer drama they are not exactly sending a peaceful sweet message wrapped in sparkling paper.. like they had the opportunity to start this session on a peaceful note but they refused it.
Now the CM is not in the mood to leave his tough guy attitude anytime soon.. & many people are fan of it (if the new remix songs have anything to do with it) but guess what there are a whole lot of people who doesn't like this attitude and we as citizens have to peacefully live with those whole lot of people in these unfolding unpeaceful situations now tell me how is that gonna be? You can't.. let me tell you then the government needs to change it's strategy and the CM needs to be less of the tough guy and more of the sensible guy..
Atleast for now, because those acts of voilance, mob-linching, gun-firing, stone-throwing & disturbance on religious property is not the trailer they are just the teaser of a much more horrifying picture these events could turn into.. that's a very real possibility.
The government had the chance in this holy month of Ramadan to turn this around and send out a peaceful message but they didn't instead these political heroes are encouraging something completely opposite.. in India you can not just support a certain group of people and be silent in the sufferings of others and specially if you are in politics.
This country does not belong to a certain group of people, this country belongs to everyone who inhabits it and calls it home.. "the government losing any peaceful opportunity can become a huge tragedy for it's people" and we are seeing the concequences of it right now.
We need to make more concrete efforts for peace and the efforts made for peace never go to wast, beleive me.. India is not a country of turbulent waters in which any passer-by can throw a stone and cause a stirrup.. we can not let that happen.
We can not let this voilance get to the soul of the nation which is 'unity in it's diversity' we as citizens are responsible to maintain this unity in our differences..
And for the people who are responding to this situation with that meme that says "Peace was never an option" well guess what "peace is the only option" right now... And with emphasis on the word ONLY so fellow Indians I don't care what your astrologer says about this year but we have to focus on peace for now, the rest of the month or probably the whole year until these turbulent waters decides to calm, I'll update you on that till then stay peaceful and take care y'all..
