How exam fail us

Difficulty of a questioner:-

You question someone based on your assessment of how much they know.. if you are not even slightly aware of how much knowledge they possess or what's their level of academic achievements you wouldn't be able to ask them the right questions. And now you can ask what you mean by right questions? I mean the right questions are the ones that gives a clear account of a person's intellectual capabilities in that given subject. The best questioner are the ones who have a grasp of the answerer's mind.

Difficulty of Answerer:-

The difficulty of the answerer is that he has to be aware of the reassessing and comprehensive abilities of the questioner to answer him correctly and in a manner which suits both of their interest. He have to have an idea of how his response will be taken by the questioner. Will he see the point he is trying to make? Because two people looking at the same thing not often see the same thing for example let's just say an excellent Tennis player is giving an exam about sports and one of the question is "What is a Tennis ball? And what is it used for?" A simple enough question. But here is a knowledge gap between the questioner and the answerer about this particular subject and it could end in two ways either the Tennis player chooses to be ordinary in his approach of answering and goes with the general definition to which, no one would have any trouble understanding.

Or he can pour out his heart's content about the matter sharing the various information & nuances about different types of Tennis balls and how to use them what works, what doesn't you know he can get into details because the subject is dear to him. And now the questioner can look at it in two ways first it's correct, it's good, it's very good or It's not in the book, it's out of context and most importantly it's not what is feed into the computer then I'm afraid to say the vast amount of knowledge in the subject would not be appreciated in the way it should be I guess by now you would've gotten what I mean.
